Three Vehicle Collision on Highway 132

October 7, 2011- A crash between three vehicles leave at least two people hurt Friday afternoon on Highway 132, four miles west of Highway 99 and Modesto.The accident happened at approximately 4:20 PM, between a Honda Civic, an Acura Integra, and another vehicle, near the intersection of Maze Boulevard and Stone Avenue.

One man was pinned in the Integra, and had to be rescued from the vehicle by emergency crews.It is reported that one of the heavily damaged cars burst into flames, after the collision. But personnel were able to extinguish the fire before it engulfed the whole vehicle.The man that was pinned and one other person were injured and taken to a Modesto hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The crash closed Highway 132 in both directions for about an hour. It was opened to traffic at about 5:30 PM.The collision remains under investigation. Update on Big Rig Crash on Hwy 99

August 23, 2011- Updated information about the big rig crash on Highway 99, in south Modesto. The driver of the semi truck, is Roger Goreham of Strathmore. The malfunction of his vehicle was caused by a blown tire, which caused him to loose control.Goreham suffered minor burns and cuts from the crash. His passenger Rodney Goreham, of Manteca, suffered, many broken bones and severe burns.The driver of the Toyota minivan, that Goreham hit after loosing control of his truck, was Kwai Kwan of San Francisco. The overpass pillar that the truck collided with caused the fuel tank to rupture, and the fire to start. Goreham kicked out the driver’s side window, so that he and his passenger were able to escape just before the fire erupted into the cab.If you need a lawyer for this case, please give me a call. Big Rig Truck Crash Causes Highway 99 Closure

August 23, 2011- A semi truck carrying cars crashed Tuesday afternoon, on Highway 99. The crash left vehicles strewn on both sides of the freeway, in south Modesto. All the lanes of the freeway were shut down near the East Hatch Road overpass, after the crash occurred at 3:15 PM. The accident happened when the big rig malfunctioned, hit a Toyota minivan, and then slammed into the Hatch Road overpass pillar. The driver of the semi, carrying cars on the back of a double-decker trailer, was traveling south on Hwy 99 when he lost control, after something went wrong with the rig. He smashed into the minivan and both vehicles careened into the center divide, taking out a section of the overpass support pillar.

The big rig, ended up in the center divide of the freeway. Some time after the collision the truck caught fire, and the flames licked at the concrete before being extinguished. It is reported that the Department of Transportation officials were called to check on the stability of the overpass.

Three people were injured in the crash. The driver of the semi truck and his passenger, as well as the driver of the minivan, all suffered minor to moderate injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital.Because of the accident, traffic remained backed up on the highway, onramps, and side streets until about 5 PM, while the officers worked to clear the wreckage.Please call if you would like us to investigate this accident. November 17 rollover accident in Modesto at West Orangeburg and Ardmore Avenues

On the morning of November 17 a man was injured when his vehicle rear ended another vehicle and flipped over at the intersection of West Orangeburg and Ardmore Avenues in Modesto. The man was driving a Toyota Camry westbound on Orangeburg when backed up traffic caused him to rear end a Ford Escort. His car then continued on and flipped on its roof. It is undetermined at what speed the man was driving. Both drivers were taken to the hospital after complaining of pain. /

November 15 accident at Briggsmore Avenue and Coffee Road in Modesto

Early in the morning of November 15 a Suburban driven by Jessie Murphy broadsided a pickup truck at the intersection of Briggsmore Avenue and Coffee Road in Modesto severely injuring a man and a woman in the truck. Murphy was driving the Suburban at a high rate of speed when she reached the intersection. It is possible that the Suburban was involved in an earlier accident as well at the intersection of Parker Road and Held Avenue. November 10 Highway 99 deadly SUV crash victim identified as Sonia Albores

The woman who died in an SUV rollover on Highway 99 in Modesto on November 10 has been identified as Sonia Albores. Albores was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer in the far left lane when she veered to the right and overturned. November 10 Highway 99 deadly SUV crash near Modesto

On November 10 a woman was killed when she lost control of her SUV while traveling on Highway 99 mear Briggsmore Avenue in Modesto. The woman apparently lost control of the vehicle, swerved, and overturned before coming to a rest on its side. The woman was wearing a seat belt and no other vehicles were involved in the accident. November 9 Modesto pedestrian accident at F Street and Bryan Avenue

On November 9 a 16-year-old girl was hit by a car at the intersection of F-street and Bryan Avenue in Modesto. The driver was not arrested, but the accident remains under investigation. October 28 fatal ATV accident on Highway 108 near Riverbank

On October 28 a man was killed when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) he was driving was struck by a Lexus. The man was driving along highway 108 near Riverbank and Coffee Road when the Lexus hit him. He was ejected from the ATV and was not wearing a helmet. At the time of the accident the ATV was partially on the highway and was almost at a complete stop. The driver of the Lexus, a 17-year old Modesto resident,  was driving 55 mph, and she stopped the vehicle after the impact. She was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt.
