Accident Between a Quad Vehicle and Car in Porterville

Visalia Elder Abuse Attorney John L. Rozier has the subsequent update: On Friday, July 18, 2014, a man riding a quad was hurt in a car collision that occurred in Tulare County.  The vehicle accident took place in Porterville, in the 300 block of South Conner Street.Alex Cervantes, 25 years old, was riding a quad vehicle, headed north on Conner Street.  The ATV was behind a car that turned east onto a dirt road.

A Toyota Camry turned out of the same dirt road to travel south on Conner St.  The automobile hit the quad head-on, and the impact sent the four-wheeler into a post and mailboxes.  Cervantes was thrown from the ATV and landed about 15 yards away.Alex Cervantes suffered moderate injuries, and was taken for treatment to a local hospital.Please call us to begin a claim arising from this accident.  We are located just miles away in Visalia.  We need to investigate available insurances, assets, and possible roadway defects.  Attorney John Rozier,

June 23 ATV accident kills Oakdale teen

On June 23 Kaitlynn Louis of Oakdale was killed when the ATV she was riding was hit by a vehicle just east of Modesto. Reportedly Louis was riding along a canal bank that ran parallel to McGee Avenue when she turned onto Rice Road. Shortly after turning onto Rice she was hit by a westbound Chevrolet driven by James Rebiero. Louis was then thrown from the ATV and later taken to Memorial Medical Center where she later died. Ribiero suffered minor injuries.

October 19 fatal ATV accident in Stanislaus County

On October 19 William Robert Clark was killed when he crashed his ATV in Stanislaus National Forest. Reportedly the Sonora resident was on an ATV trail when he passed two other ATV riders. His high speed prevented him from properly negotiating a right-hand turn and he went flying down a mountainside. While he was wearing a helmet, Clark died from head injuries.

October 10 wrongful death on ATV in Parlier

On October 10 Roger Valentine was declared dead after crashing his ATV near Parlier in Fresno County. According to reports Valentine was riding the Yamaha Rhino ATV along a dry canal that ran adjacent to Newmark Avenue near Lincoln Avenue with a 14-year-old passenger when Valentine made an abrupt turn to avoid hitting a power pole. The turn caused the ATV to roll down the embankment and into the canal. Valentine was not harnessed in and was thrown from the ATV. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His passenger, however, was restrained to the ATV and suffered a broken leg.

September 6 ATV accident in Corcoran kills Brandon McBride

September 6, 2010--ATV accident in Corcoran kills 10 year old rider named Brandon McBride.  Brandon was riding a Yamaha four-wheel ATV along a canal bank and crossed Avenue 5 1/2 at Newmark.   A Ford F-150 pickup driven by Eloy Solis was passing another vehicle and struck the ATV.Issues to be investigated include the speed of the pickup, whether this area has been the scene of other accidents, and whether it was safe for the pickup to pass in this area.Our lawfirm is currently representing a young man who lost his leg riding an ATV in Fresno County.  In that case there are issues of negligent entrustment, safety gear, and speed. Fatal big rig accident in Tulare County

August 23, 2010--Yesterday's fatal big rig accident in Tulare County killed a Tulare man who was a passenger in a van which ran a stop sign.  The location was Avenue 232 and Road 36.  The van driven by Victor Anguiano broadsided a freightliner driven by Valentin Ramirez.The deceased was identified as Luis Camacho Asa.  If his family would like this accident investigated, please give us a call.

February 15 ATV accident in Merced County injures two

On February 15 two people suffered major injuries in an accident between an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a Honda Accord in Merced County. The ATV was driven by a 17-year-old boy who was traveling south along the east bank of the Hi Line Canal. He was traveling about 15-20 mph when he entered El Capitan Way and hit a Honda Accord traveling about 55 mph. The Accord was driven by Maria Deparra. The boy was thrown from the ATV and was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with serious injuries. The Accord then travelled through two fences before hitting a tree. Deparra was taken to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with major injuries. /

Two victims of November 29 motorcycle accident in Lindsay identified

On November 29 Javier Benitez Luna was killed and Juan Carlos Zapata was critically injured when their motorbike and ATV collided when both drivers failed to stop at a four-way stop in Lindsay. Both men were reportedly wearing helmets. A toxicology test is being done to determine if alcohol was a factor. The accident occurred at the intersection of Sierra View Street and Lafayette Avenue in Lindsay around 8 pm. Zapata was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. Luna was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. /

Motorcycle ATV Accident leaves one dead in Lindsay

November 29, 2009--A collision earlier today between a motorcycle and an ATV in Lindsay, California left one dead and one victim severely injured.  The injured party was flown by helicopter to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center.  The collision occurred on north Lafayette Avenue.The names of the involved parties will be provided in an updated posting in this blog when they become available.  If you would like a private engineer to be sent to the scene of this accident to investigate further, please call us Monday morning.  Attorney John Rozier  559-713-0159.

October 28 fatal ATV accident on Highway 108 near Riverbank

On October 28 a man was killed when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) he was driving was struck by a Lexus. The man was driving along highway 108 near Riverbank and Coffee Road when the Lexus hit him. He was ejected from the ATV and was not wearing a helmet. At the time of the accident the ATV was partially on the highway and was almost at a complete stop. The driver of the Lexus, a 17-year old Modesto resident,  was driving 55 mph, and she stopped the vehicle after the impact. She was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt.
