October 4, 2018- A pedestrian was seriously hurt in an accident on Thursday, in southwest Bakersfield. The Kern County automobile collision took place on Akers Road, at about 7:15 AM.
A female pedestrian was walking in the area of Akers and McKee roads. At that time a 4-door hatchback car, driven by a woman was driving towards the intersection.
At the intersection, the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
The victim suffered severe injuries. She was taken to Kern Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition.
