Victim Identified in Selma Multi-Semi Truck Crash, on Highway 99

An update to the fatal multi-big rig crash on Monday, October 2, 2017, in Selma.  The victim in the Fresno County pickup truck collision has been identified.  The incident happened on Highway 99, at around 12:45 PM.

Alma Bernice Gordillo Zuniga was driving a Ford F150 headed north on the freeway, near Mountain View Avenue.  According to reports, she moved her pickup into the slow lane, in between two semi trucks.

One tractor-trailer attempted to merge into the middle lane, to avoid hitting the Ford.  At the same time, Zuniga moved into the same lane.

The Ford collided with the right front of one rig, and the left rear of the other.

After the crash, the pickup truck burst into flames.

Zuniga died at the scene.
