High-Speed Chase Caused Head-on Collision in Madera County on Highway 41; One Killed

January 23, 2017- A high-speed car chase ended in fatality after a head-on collision, in Madera County, on Monday.  The vehicle accident took place on Highway 41, north of Fresno, at around 3:00 PM.

The CHP were in pursuit of Sharon Marie Mangeri, 50, the driver of a tan sedan on northbound Highway 41.  Near Children’s Boulevard, the suspect swerved her vehicle into the southbound lanes.


The automobile struck a blue Chevy sedan.  It then spun out and crashed head-on into a gray Dodge vehicle.

Mangeri was pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of the Dodge and Chevrolet suffered minor injuries.
