Kern, Tulare, Kings County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, a pedestrian collision took place in Bakersfield. The victim was hit by two separate vehicles, on Highway 184, in front of Foothill High School, at 6:48 AM.
16-year-old Ashley Cruz was crossing CA-184 Morning Drive, at Eucalyptus Drive, when she was struck by a 2008 Ford Ranger, driven by Lloyd Scroggin, 86. The pickup truck then fled the scene.
Then the teenager was hit by Alexander Romero, 21, when he didn’t see her lying in the roadway.
Cruz suffered major injuries, including a broken pelvis, leg, and arm. She was transported to Kern Medical Center.
The family of Scroggin contacted the police after he arrived home. Hit-and-run charges are pending the investigation.
