Bicycle vs. Car Accident in Bakersfield, at College Avenue and Burton Way

On Wednesday, August 17, 2016, A bicyclist was injured in an auto accident, in east Bakersfield.  The Kern County car crash happened in the area of College Avenue, and Burton Way, at about 3:15 PM.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the man riding a bicycle and the vehicle collided.  The cyclist suffered severe injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities claim the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The fault of the accident is unknown at this time.
