On Tuesday, July 19, 2016, a tractor-trailer collision took place near Coalinga. The Fresno County big rig crash occurred on Interstate 5, at approximately 10:00 AM.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident happened on northbound I-5, at Highway 145. The semi truck, driven by Seferino Agredano, of Anaheim, that was involved in the accident spilled over 100 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway.
The big rig caught fire soon after, and the gas was burned off.
Agredano sustained minor injuries and was taken to Adventist Medical Center, in Hanford.
No other information right now on whether any other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Issues still remaining to be investigated; determining whether road conditions may have contributed to this accident, and any malfunctions of the vehicle.
