On Saturday, March 26, 2016, an SUV collision ended in double fatality, east of Tulare. The DUI traffic accident occurred at around 10 PM, at Avenue 200, and Spacer Drive.
A 2012 Honda Pilot, driven by George Espinosa Jr., of Las Vegas, and his family, were headed south on Spacer Drive. At the intersection of Avenue 200, the Honda was broadsided by a 2013 Ford Edge SUV.
The Ford, driven by Cheyenne Wyllie of Exeter, had been westbound on Avenue 200, when Wyllie did not stop at the posted sign at the intersection and crashed into the Pilot.
Jamie Espinosa, the 10 year old daughter of George, suffered severe injuries and died at Tulare Regional Medical Center.
Angelita Espinosa, the child’s grandmother, was pronounced dead at the scene.
George Espinosa sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Kaweah Delta in Visalia, then transfered to Community Regional Medical, in Fresno.
Charlotte Espinosa, the driver’s wife, suffered minor to moderate injuries. She was transported to Tulare Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Wyllie sustained injuries as well. She was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where she was arrested for driving while intoxicated and vehicular manslaughter.
