January 28, 2016- A fatal milk tanker truck crash took place in Tulare County on Thursday. The medical van collision happened on Paige Avenue/Avenue 216, as a result of heavy fog, at 9:30 AM.
A big rig with tankers carrying milk, was eastbound on Paige Avenue. At the same time a medical transportation van, with four occupants inside, was driving west on Paige Ave.
The van tried to make a left-hand turn onto Road 44, and collided with the semi.
A female in the transport van was pronounced dead at the scene.
The three other victims in the vehicle sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Tulare Regional Medical Center, for treatment.
Officers reported that dense fog was a factor in the collision.
