December 14, 2015- A 3-vehicle crash ended in fatality for two victims, on Monday, in Fresno County. The multiple car collision happened east of Selma, at about 1:30 PM, and was caused by an intoxicated driver.
A white Ford F-250 was traveling southbound on Academy Avenue, when it sped through a stop sign without stopping, at the intersection of Rose Avenue.
At that time a red Ford F-150 truck was driving east on Road Avenue, and had the right-of-way. The white pickup smashed into the red truck. Then the Ford F-250 hit a silver Chevy Traverse SUV that was stopped at the other side of Academy Ave.
Upon impact, the Ford F-150 rolled over and then burst into flames. Two men in their 30’s were trapped in the fiery truck. They died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the white pickup truck suffered major injuries, and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno. He or she was arrested for drunk driving, and possibly othe charges.
The driver of the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries.
