September 2, 2015- A car crash ended in fatality, near Orange Cove, on Wednesday. The Fresno County automobile collision took place at approximately 5:30 PM.
A 77 year old driver, from Squaw Valley, was driving a 1985 Nissan, eastbound on Manning Avenue. The driver was reported to have not stopped at the intersection of Manning and S. Hills Valley Road.
The Nissan collided with a 2000 Toyota, driven by a 27 year old man from Orange Cove. The Toyota was traveling southbound on Hills Valley Rd. at the time of the crash. Authorities reported that both vehicles overturned, and at least one of them caught fire.
The 77 year old man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno. He died while in the hospital.
The Toyota’s driver sustained minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Reedley Hospital.
There was one passenger in each of the vehicles, and both were also hospitalized as well.
